Keighley RUFC send their best wishes and congratulations to Ronnie 'Rhubarb' Pickles on his award. See article below and attached press cuttings

He was well known for his services to the scout movement and was always in charge of the 'Penny Wagon' which led Keighley Gala Procession for many years with his scouts picking up money thrown from the crowd which missed the wagon and ended up on the road.

Besides his lifelong work with the Scouting Movement in Keighley, Ronnie was a formidable workmanlike solid prop forward for 'Keighlians from the late 50's through the 60's. To all at our club he was always known as 'Rhubarb Pickles' but the origins of his nick name appear to be lost in the annals of time.

A life-long teetotaller, Ronnie was always present at the Annual KRUFC Club Dinners.

Well done 'Rhubarb' you deserve your award for your hard work in the youth community of Keighley.
