Cameron Bealey Kay repeated his feat of scoring directly from the Kick-off when he sprinted clear to score beneath the posts in the first minute, adding the conversion. From the restart Keighley’s forwards retained the ball well and released Louis Holmes to break free and score a converted try.
Colne & Nelson worked hard to contain Keighley, but after seven minutes Billy Todd barged over for a well deserved try, before Keighley secured a 24-0 half time lead when Dom Dobson benefitted from his pace to score another unconverted try.
The second half continued to see Keighley dominate a spirited colne & Nelson and Louis Holmes scored a converted try after five minutes, with Reece Holmes scoring a well worked try closely followed by Ryan Vero’s second try of the day before Bealey Kay scored his fourth of the day a few minutes before the end.
This was a good performance by the whole team with the forwards securing precious possession to unleash the back line to create space in which to play, this Sunday sees Keighley facing stern opposition fro in form local neighbours Skipton.
