Keighley show resolve

The hard work by the players and coaching staff paid off as Keighley avenged last seasons 50-0 defeat against Old Rish.The home side were stung in the first 2 minutes as Rish scored under the posts to take a early 7-0 lead.The home forwards drove Keighley on and were rewarded with an Elliot Barker double with a conversion by Nick Holroyd to put Keighley in front.Rish got a converted try to go 14- 12 up but then the tireless Sam Todd scrambled a try before the break to give Keighley a 17-14 advantage.The following 15 minutes saw both sides tackle hard until Rish broke the dead lock to go 19-17 infront.With the clock ticking down Keighley threw the ball wide for Jamie Reynard to outsprint the cover from the half way line to touch down in the corner, the conversion was missed leaving Keighley to battle out the final minute and the game ended when the home side found touch securing a 22-19 victory in a very hard fought contest.
