KRUFC are deeply saddened to report that David Scarborough was killed in a tragic accident when, we are told, he fell from scaffolding at his home whilst carrying out renovations.
David played for all the teams at the club as a competent hooker along side one of his best friends, Steve Hargreaves.
The attached picture of David was taken from a 3rd XV photo in 1985, when he was captain of the team.
David worked his whole life for Dacre Son & Hartley and acted for the club in Rateable Valuation queries.
Several of us were in David's company just over a week ago at the funeral service for Gerry Dean and afterwards at the wake in our clubhouse.
We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife Pam, his children and extended family..
