Keighley RUFC are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Matchday Physiotherapist for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

JOB TITLE: Keighley RUFC 1st XV Matchday Physiotherapist

REPORTS TO: Director of Rugby & David Cook. Lead Physiotherapist.

LOCATION: Keighley Rugby Club Skipton Rd, Utley, Keighley BD20 6DT

START DATE: Immediate Start – July 2024, Matches will start August 2024

KRUFC are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Physiotherapist on a match play part time basis. The primary aim of this role is to provide matchday medical management for the Senior Squad. Playing in the seventh tier of English Rugby (Yorkshire 1), the successful applicant will be expected to be present at home and away match days on a Saturday throughout the season August – May.

Key Responsibilities (include but are not exclusive to):
– Providing pitch-side cover and assistance for 1st XV matches both home and away.
– Communicate effectively to senior management (Coaches, Director of Rugby, General Management) and Lead Physiotherapist, David Cook.
– Maintaining accurate and up to date notes, in-line with the RFU Minimum standards
– Undertaking injury reporting data in line with RFU requirements
– Communicating with Lead Physio to Manage medical budget for supplies throughout the season

Essential
-Minimum 5 years experience in Musculoskeletal setting.
-Health Professions council registered.
-Member of the Chartered society of Physiotherapy.
-Evidence of Post graduate experience training related to Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
-Experience of Taping and Strapping.
-A full and valid UK Driving Licence with own transport.

Preferred
-Post graduate Massage Training
-Previous experience in managing Players in a sports club setting.
-RFU PHICIS qualification or the ability to work towards Qualifications BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy / Graduate Sport Rehabilitation
-Accreditation CSP /HCPC / BaSRat Pitchside 1st aid / trauma qualification or willingness to undertake this training.
