Although they started well as soon as Scarborough got some decent possession they moved it wide, leading to a well worked try for prop Nino Cutino, converted by full back Tom Harrison. Within minutes hooker Ian Williams added to the score line with a try in the corner.
The Keighley backs continued to give the opposition too much time and space and were punished by two further tries for winger Harry Domett, both converted by Harrison. With the points score running at a point a minute Keighley steadied the ship, using their forwards and some skilful positional kicking from outside half Danny McGee.
In the second half Keighley battled hard and their forwards led by prop Sam Booker and Leigh Sugden worked well in the contact area and were able to put Scarborough on the back foot, eventually second row David Iliff was driven over in the corner.
Scarborough returned to the attack and some Keighley handling errors gave them the opportunity of a scrum near the line, some neat work from Czech international scrum half Zbynek Schutz gave winger Jan Tieber an easy run in to the try line, converted by Harrison. Once again the Keighley forwards took play deep into Scarborough territory and were held up over the line, from the resulting scrum and maul Sam Booker drove for the line and slipped the ball to Danny McGee who scored in the corner, Olly Mitchell added the conversion.
Scarborough determined to finish the season off with a flourish once again exposed the Keighley back line frailties leading to a second try for winger Tiber and one for form wing forward Blake Nightingale, Henderson converted them both.
