Best Rugby Moment: Has to be getting promotion to NE1. Alnwick away. An unbelievable journey for that year. I was lucky enough to play (on the wing) and we knocked the pony out of Alnwick Brilliant display of rugby. I don’t actually remember much from the game even after watching it multiple times. But what I do remember is what it meant to everyone at the club. Also remember Johnny Harrison crying at the full time whistle . Unbelievable day. !!

Worst Rugby Moment: This did not take much thought. Roundhegians away deep in winter 2015 The coldest day in history. The pitch was wet and muddy. We Played some brilliant Rugby, but God it was cold. Early in to the 2nd half Tom Lowther decided to walk off the pitch into the changing rooms as he thought he had frostbite . As the final whistle was blown we ran in the changing room to get warm in the showers. To our surprise Tom Lowther was still in the showers fully dressed, shaking like a leaf under the hot shower. Safe to say he has never lived that down.

Best on the Beers: Alife Seeley- Absolute nightmare. If he is not jumping off scaffolding, he is reeling off stepbrothers quotes in different accents.

Worst on the Beers: Ross Lacey- for some reason he loves a naked table slide but asks spectators to kick the tables while he is mid slide.

Aspirations for the Season: To help the team gain promotion is a must this season. Trying to lead from the front and help bring the young lads we have on in training . Could go on forever, really but just to be part of this club is enough. I believe we have something special at the moment.

Player to watch this season: George Marshall- Going from strength to strength in my opinion. He is confident in his rugby which is good to see.

Moo’s Bio: Adam Horsfall, better known as ‘Giddy’, is a player and personality that you will always find at the core of this team. A product of our junior section, I have had the pleasure to watch him develop on and off the pitch over the past 8 years. Always pushing the standards and wearing his heart on his sleeve, Giddy expects the same from others around him. Before a game, you will normally find him ritually retching over the sideline. It’s when he isn’t you need to be worried. Let’s hope this season, he gets to lead the team to the success he and the club deserve.
