Best Rugby Moment: A number of years back we went up to Old Brods on a cold snowy day, the decision was made to warm up for the most part in the changing rooms ourselves, I’m sure Brods were baffled by our approach but it appeared to be a touch of genius, we came out of the blocks all guns blazing and secured a convincing win, Old Brods has long been a favourite away game of mine of which this added to the rivalry built during my junior rugby years at Keighley

Worst Rugby Moment: Ask Alfie Seeley – for a number of years I was likely hungover for game-day, one particular game at Heath I went to sneak it down the blind side, the blind side was none existent and I simply ran straight in to touch, when asked what happened I immediately shrugged my shoulders and returned to the game.

Best on the Beers: Luke Currie – an entertaining man to have around on the beers, just don’t let his focus be on you

Worst on the Beers: Jordan Yaxley – The lads only just come out of Uni and even so he will fall asleep in the corner after going too hard too early

Aspirations for the Season: Have a positive impact on the players coming through and give the lads the support they need to embed in to our senior setup, we are close to a transition period at the club and getting these lads comfortable as soon as possible will be key to us being a strong Y1 side

Player to watch this season: KBK – Kristian is a young lad with enough confidence and ability to be a player for the future, a good debut season would really build on the great work the Junior setup at the club has done for a number of years

Moo’s Bio: Alan has been a regular 1st xv player for a number of years now. He’s always down in ink on our selection board; the dilemma has always been where to play him. A natural sportsman with both skills with ball in hand and the boot has meant that he can play and be effective in all positions.
This year, Alan has worked very hard on all aspects of his game and started this season on another level. His influence on the team and especially younger players has been invaluable. Let’s hope he can continue to score those tries and run on the right side of the pitch.
