02/10/16 – against Baildon (away)

Our first match of the season away at Baildon started with a lovely Autumn morning for playing rugby!
It was a great start for the team, with everyone playing well.

Kieran demonstrated strong running and sidestepping to score tries and showed great team work by passing to help others get involved. James was great, using his hands as a target, letting his team know he was visible, and doing a super job of jumping on any loose ball! He also played with the biggest smile on the pitch

Josh P made a great try, and did an excellent job of saving tags. He was also the loudest on the pitch - supporting his team with great communication. It was great to see Oliver with the team, and he made a great start with fast feet and accurate hands - good try scoring, mixed with tagging the other team! Cain was also fast on his feet, always running and securing Baildon tags. Despite two knocks Cain got back up, got back in the game and scored great tries!

Freddie played well – being happy to play with strong forward running and making passes to help his team mates score tries. Jack was the pocket rocket, scoring some great tries and always chasing back to get those Baildon tags. Finally Ruben, who was new to the team, played with great enthusiasm and teamwork to score tries and make assists

All played with excellent spirit on the pitch, and showed super support for their team mates off the pitch
