Keighley turned in a fine performance to bounce back from a lethargic approach the week before. They were determined, focused and committed and at every opportunity showed the team spirit that they possess. A well drilled YMCA side with strength across the pitch held out well initially whilst Keighley mixed driving runs with deft offloads in order to gain territory. The ruck area was a vast improvement on previous outings, all team members willing to put their body over the ball in order to secure possession. The team were controlled and patient in their set play, waiting for clean ball to release rather than grasping and grappling on the floor. The game was fairly evenly contested, the scores going one way then the other, but Keighley did not let their concentration or spirits slip and fought until the final whistle. Both Samuel Grant and Robert Paul did what was asked of them in harassing each and every runner, Josh Wisaur showed his strength and ability to retain possession whilst Tom Wilson constantly attacked the line. 4 tries from Ryan Gibson and one each for Harry Gallacher, Harvey Kemp and Archie Mowle secured victory for a resurgent team.
