Morley v Keighley

Keighley continued their recent run of form results with a structured powerful win against a game but slightly understrength Morley squad.

From the start, Keighley dominated, scoring almost at will going forward and not budging an inch in defence. Keighley’s strength with their Forwards paid dividends and with good rotation decisions made by the Coaches ran in 5 Tries (Aaron Wilson, Harry Gould, Keir Welch and James Whitcombe 2) and an equal number of Conversions (Zac Scott 3, Jack Rodbourne, Joss McArthur) before half time.

HALF TIME - Morley 0 - Keighley 35

Morley didn’t shirk away from contact and were game going forward but pressure and application from Keighley’s Backs forced them to continually defend their lines and straight from the re-start Rodbourne ran a full ½ pitch and with a phantom body swerve to put Jason Robinson to shame, powered over for the try of the game.

As the game progressed Keighley ran in a further 3 Tries (Scott, Tom Richardson and Freddie Seavers) (experimenting with place-kickers all of whom missed in the second half) and they completed a comfortable 55-0 win.
