Following an opening try by Yarnbury Keighley improved their game with the forwards dominating all phases of the game to release the potent back line enabling Ryan Vero to cut through the defence and score under the posts for Bradley Akrigg to convert.
Yarnbury piled pressure on Keighleyand were repeatedly awarded penalties, which they took quickly catching Keighley off side to gain another penalty 10 metres further upfield. Despite this Keighley led 5-7 at half time.
The second half saw Yarnbury run in a try from the kick-off, but Keighley fought back with the Forwards winning quality ball and the backs running at Yarnbury who tackled well. Against play Yarnbury profited from further penalties and scored another try.
After a determined attack Keighley were awarded a penalty 20 metres from Yarnbury try line, and when Tanner took a quick tap penalty he was frustratingly called back by the referee, giving Yarnbury adequate time to organise their defence and deny Keighley. A clsing try by Yarnbury sealed the game,
