This eagerly awaited fixture showcased some great rugby skill and determination from both teams.
Seven tries kept supporters on edge and banter flowing.

Coaches Comment

Steve Welch.
The forwards played with real passion and determination; they bossed the break down and turned over possession on regular basis.
Even though the lads didn't understand many of the referee's decisions that went against them they continued to play positive rugby, even when they had two tries disallowed.
The Bees back line put pressure on our centres meaning that our wingers didn't get any real opportunity to advance out wide.

Over all the score line flattered Bees; however, the lads have taken on the chin, and must concentrate on next week's game.

First up well played today boys.
The pack where very good as unit today both going forward and in defence led by Jack Rodbourne and Adam Kemp.
Bees didn't know how to stop them when they had the ball.
The backs again looked good going forward and defended well led very well by our ten and twelve!
Ethan Lawrie was a handful for them both in attack and defence.
He put lots of pressure on them in defence and looked to make ground in attack.
All in all very difficult as a coach today.
We were the better team that tried to play rugby, but some calls just went against us.
Massive proud of all the boys for the way they dealt with everything today.

Today I think the boys played their hearts out for each other and the badge and I'm proud of every single one of them.
Let's hope we can do the same against Wharfdale next week.
