Keighley return to the newly renamed Counties 1 Yorkshire league following last seasons promotion. Their opening game saw the team host fellow promoted side Hullensians. Keighley dominated possession and territory for long periods of time but found it difficult to break down well-organised, resolute opposition. However, the pressure paid off, the West Yorkshire side built a solid score before a second half fight back from Hullensians saw them score late in the game to prevent a shut out.
