Keighley hosted West Leeds in the semi-final of the Yorkshire Shield. Both sides made several changes, the home side taking the opportunity to award 2 players 1st team debuts and rest several other squad members. The changes didn't seem to affect a Keighley side who built a comfortable lead. West Leeds provided some fight in the second half but were limited to a single try.
